Well, I am back!

I stopped blogging some time ago as it took too much time. Now however, with the financial meltdown, there is so much to say.

Real estate is undergoing it’s biggest fundamental change since the last major downturn in the late 1980′s, early 1990′s. I experienced that hell and it was not fun. There are fundamental differences between that era and now fortunately, but the major commonality is the lack of lending. Money is the grease on the wheel, and until the banks get with it, the market will be rough. I am a Realtor, so I am naturally optimistic, but I am realistic as well. I have become more blunt with my customers and clients over the recent past about this market. There are many people still in denial, and it saddens me to people walk away from deals simply because they have a view that is well, so two years ago! Residential real estate lives in the today, not what it was once was or what may be.

You get the idea. The ride will be thrilling!
